If you’re going to mark a milestone anniversary, you might as well do it in style. And that’s exactly what the Hoodoo Gurus did to celebrate three decades since the release of their iconic debut 7″ ‘Leilani’.
Ten hours of guitar-shredding, ass-kicking, face-melting punk and garage-rock action by some of the finest in the business across four great venues in Sydney seemed appropriate for the occasion, and thankfully we were at the center stage of the action: the Enmore Theatre.
Invitees included the legendary garage-rock pioneers The Sonics, Redd Kross, The Fleshtones, Died Pretty, mystery guests Kids In Dust (a/k/a Sunnyboys), Japanese all-girl legends The 184.108.40.206’s (coming soon!) plus a hand-picked selection of local celebrities.
