New York psychedelic funk-rockers Yeasayer have revealed they’ll be touring Down Under next January.
Frontman Chris Keating spilled the beans to Triple J radio host Zan Rowe, who posted the news on Twitter earlier today. She tweeted: “Great news: this morning when I chatted with Chris from @Yeasayer he said they’re heading back to Australia. In January. YEWWWWWWWW!”
That timeline makes them frontrunners for the national Laneway Festival, which the band played in 2011. Nothing official has been confirmed yet.
The band were scheduled to unveil their third album ‘Fragrant World’ later this month, but released it online this week in an online treasure hunt, which saw them hide songs on various websites and give fans clues to find them.
